My very 1st outing with the 1DsMKII paired with the beastly 400 F2.8L MKII shooting surfers down Huntington Beach. Enjoy fellas....

Yeah, I was shooting the kneeboard comp from a little south of the event for a while and then moved up to the pier to get some of the surfing action on the north side. Great light and nice off shore winds that morning. I wish it could be like that all the time.

There wasn't much action on the Kneeboard event but there was plenty on the northside despite of the small swell. Let's shoot next time....

Nice pics. I just posted some surf shots I took today here in Okinawa, Japan. Solid overcast skies which made the Sigma 50-500mm I was using extremely slow. Sure could have used the 400mm. Your shots are rad. I might post some of mine here later but you can see them at:
