Took some shots with my new lens today. Still getting used to shooting with the Sigma 150-500mm. These aren't perfect I know, but for a starting point what do you think?

This lens takes some getting used to. These were taken from quite some distance and cropped in post production.

Thanks for looking ;)

Jealous I am. Nice capture, especially the flight shot.

Cheers!

Both are very nice shots Chris. I envy those of you w/eagles around to shoot.
Focus looks good on both w/good IQ for shots at distance. The first looks a little dark to me though, maybe .5-.75 stop darker than optimal; and not just judging the sky but the eagle too. But hey, that's what PS is for isn't it :)

I was thinking the same thing too. I do all my PP on my 42in LCD TV and the color is very Vibrant. When I look at it on my Laptop Screen it is definelty a bit Under Exposed. But I value your input. Thanks

Thanks all! Appreciate you thoughts. I am very lucky to have so many Eagle and Raptors to be able to shoot here. Can't wait for spring to really give the new lens a workout.

I think the Juvi is very well shot/processed. To me the first image almost looks like it has been painted (it is soft) - does anyone else notice this on their screen?

just a few of my thoughts...
