Last night while shooting my 365 project I took my chances and headed into Camden City alone at midnight to shoot some of this deadly city. I found myself driving around and decided instead of shooting the night life of the crack heads I would shoot the Ben Franklin Bridge instead. I was fighting a very strong head wind off the river during this shot due to a squall line moving in. CC welcomed.

Beautiful Ken. Can you tell me if this was taken fr Campbell's Field? I'd like to shoot this but just wondering if you felt safe there.

This was taken from the walking path at waters edge next to the large parking lot. I do not suggest going there alone at night esp when no one else is around. This night the lot was just about empty but there were some crack heads a few working girls around. I was in and out of the location very quickly and kept my head on a swivel. If you go take along a few people strength in numbers ;-)a

LOL, I love the caption...I've ventured into Camden a few times. It's not ideal, let's just leave it at that :)

I have been to Camden before too. Yea, what Ken said. Head on a swivel and choose fast shutter speeds. That said, going with a friend is a good idea. But you can get some great shots there

Nice image of the bridge. Now to get the Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry, Tacony Palmyra, and Deleware Memorial.....

Hmm, I was thinking of going on Saturday to shoot there. Now I'm a bit uncomfortable about the area. Anyone interested in a meetup?

Personally I would stay away from the fri / sat nights and go on a cold off night, less people out and less chances for any issues. I still would try to pair up with someone.

Ah, I just checked with a local law enforcement friend and I was strongly advised to stay way from that area! So, I suppose I will forget about photographing that beautiful bridge :-(
