Hey Everyone heres photos from my second engagement shoot. I really improved from my last shoot. I think the primary reason for my success, is that we decided on a theme for the shoot. I wrote more and included some tips about the shoot on my BLOG (external link)

I am not a big fan of the processing personally. I also feel there are a few different types of processing in here. In my opinion (and of course this is by no means fact), I feel if you are going to do coloring like this, it works best if you keep it fairly consistent.

Wow, awesome photos there. I like the first one a lot, even though it's pretty simple. :)

Number 5 is an excellent photo among a set of amazing shots.

Nice set, I do have to say #5 probably the best "dipping" posture i've seen, they look like naturals haha. Usually you can see the guy or girl is awkward in the pose, but they look like they are dancers that have done that pose at the end of each dance for years! Good work, BTW the processing on your pics is your style, I would say its unique and you will attract the client that loves that processing, your style. It may not be for everyone, but be as consistant as possible with it. Keep up the good work!

Nice work! I do think that when you are going for a look like you did that you should keep it consistent. 1 for sure doesn't fit with the others, and 4, 6, & 8 are a bit less vintage than 2,3,5,7. Great work, I would just suggest keeping the processing similar!

Number 5 is the best but if the rule of thirds would have been applied to it putting the subjects at the bottom left third cross point it would have been perfect. Also the PP is a little much but that is JMO. I'm sure she would want more color in the photos being that she picked those colors fora reason. Nice set overall tho.

Gotta disagree with kuraz. Placing them in the bottom left would create so much negative space that you'd lose the striking pose altogether. The "dip" is what is important in the photo. Truthfully, the "rule of thirds" is being applied. Their heads are close to the upper right intersection, their bodies travel downward through the center, and their legs are at the bottom left. Because of the nature of the pose, your eye follows up from the feet, through the legs, straight to the kiss, and then the path leads you out of the photo. I don't think you can get a better example of posing your subjects to make the viewer's eye move through the photo than that picture right there. Well done NeverFollow, well done.
