Haven't shot anything worthwhile lately, so edited some pics today.

Downtown Des Moines' less-than-stellar skyline.

My g/f was doing some studying, so like the 5 year old I am, I decided to annoy her by taking pictures of her.

I wish I had a track layout, I pulled these out of the back of the closet yesterday. I used to have a pretty big layout when I lived in Rockland that I was slowly building but when I moved I didn't have the space to keep it. I'm starting to build a display for these that'll go above my windows with 4 tracks about 6-7 feet long.

My collection so far, a couple Amtrak locomotives sitting on the right track :D

Yeah it adds up quickly. I've had my eye on some subway cars but if you can even find them you're spending big money. Commuter rail cars are a bit more reasonable but they are all individual.

That current price is completely reasonable. You need to rub those train cars with graphite powder to make them lifelike by ways of being dirty. :)

I'm looking forward to what Photokina has in store for us this year. I'm eyeing several manufacturers updates... starts next week!

I remember back when i had a 20d and upgraded to the 5d. I didn't even fully understand the implications of the upgrade and how it would optically affect my photographs. I was mostly interested in the high ISO capabilities and the resolution. Funny when you look back a few years at a decision process... :)

I have, once. The new engines that have the rounded front. I saw one pass by one day in Dorchester and i nearly crashed... i was like WTF is that?? Must be a UFO, no MBTA train is that clean...
