I am sure you would play like this though:

Lol... there are a few reasons why I think I could kick better than that. One of them is the fact that I played soccer barefoot in middle school and high school.

You also went to school, bare feet, uphill (both directions), in several feet of snow?

No... I grew up in North Carolina. No real snow there.

I do run "barefoot" now, though.

Yep... that's one of my gym pairs. Running in those are the only shoes I can seem to run in without hurting my arches.

That's interesting. I ran Div 1 track in college and those type of shoes are pretty much avoided by any avid runner because of the potential damage to your feet. I understand the theory behind them but it doesn't really apply when you're running on cement.

Edit: Have you tried using Sauchony's? Most shoes hurt my arches as well with the exception of those and 1 pair of Nike's that I will never throw away.

I wouldn't sprint in them as I don't think my feet are strong enough to take that much strain. I have run 10k at about an 8 mph pace.

How is the new place coming along?

Well, we've replaced just about everything. But it's finally starting to slow down. How about yours, take down any walls lately?

Alright, I have no friends outside this forum - so I'm sharing here. I just won the bid on this pair of boots: http://www.ebay.com …ame=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:3160 (external link)

Plus... JosBank buy 1 get 4 free. I got 4 last month, time to get 4 more.

Man, just looking at some of the other shoes I'm really digging the Allen Edmonds "Fifth Avenue" Oxfords in Walnut. Now if I could just find a pair in my "fat as hell EEEE feet" I'd be all set.

Haha... thanks for indulging me. The 5th Streets are basically the 5th Aves made into a boot. Saw that black pair on eBay, so I made an offer. I'd like to grab a pair of 5th Street or Dalton boots in walnut.

I was just checking the JosABank site and didn't notice anything about the buy 1 shoe deal but it seems they are doing a buy 1 get 3 free suit deal online today. The bad thing is they take bill me later so I could do some serious damage to the account if I were to go to one of the stores and get fitted for some suits/shirts/ties.

BTW Nathan, it seems Nordstroms has the Dalton in stock.

It's been so long since I've been I imagine they've closed my account by now, it's to bad because they gave me a pile of credit when I got the card. :(

Anything that accepts Paypal usually accepts Bill Me Later (if you have your accounts linked). I believe if you sign up for Cumberland Farms' Paypal at the pump thingie you can hook it up to BML and get 10 cents a gallon off..
