Well, we've replaced just about everything. But it's finally starting to slow down. How about yours, take down any walls lately?

Took down some ceiling - so we can see where some pipes are - we are going to reroute a couple so we can "open up" the kitchen and put in an island too. 1st part we brought down, we were glad there weren't any surprises. Prob on sunday we'll take the next part down, and see where some other pipes go...

I have a couple of those Pocket Wizard Plus IIs (as seen by Alexander)

Can they be used to remotely trigger the camera?

I know the TT1/TT5 system can be used to remotely trigger the camera.. I believe if you have the appropriate sync cord out of the PW into the camera, that yes it should work... but I'm not 100% sure on the PW2/3s..

BTW Nathan, it seems Nordstroms has the Dalton in stock.

Aren't Nordstrom prices the same as the store site or even downtown? It's better to call up Allen Edmonds and ask for their prices on seconds - apparently there's a flaw, but most people don't notice and sometimes you can't even tell.

I like buying used on eBay, though. There's something therapeutic about searching and hunting. Plus, I've found a couple of English made shoes which are a bit more modern in styling and can be better quality.

I meant buy 1 get 3 free suits... they never have deals on shoes. Picked up 4 suits last month... going to go later this afternoon and pick up 4 more. With suits, I'd rather go quantity over quality. Shoes: quality over quantity.

If I were your husband, this would most certainly be my 'get out of jail free' card if any questions arose about my frivolous spending or dropping a couple grand on new camera gear.... ;)

If I was her husband, I'd join her in the craze... haha.

This is from a month ago... this is only 5 pairs and a pair of casual boots. I'm still building up the collection. Thinking of dumping the pair in the upper right, though, cause it's ugly. My goal is not to get quite as many shoes as Mrs. 007:

Plenty of labels to throw around. He can retain his title over the manpurse, unless someone else proves otherwise. I'm just addicted to shoe porn.

Harm -- FYI, I confirmed that the PW Plus IIs can be used to trigger the camera for you.

That'll be $50.

Heh, $50 monopoly money is in Nathan's manpurse for you.

I want to do the old, camera in the fridge trick, but to take photos of Alexander :D - hence the remote triggering...

Um, "the less is more" sentiment is a great one, but not really popular around this part of the world. Presumably economy booms on spending, right? (well, at least Chinese' does ;) )

My husband is the most sensible penny-pinching person ever! Knowing my own weaknesses I chose wisely :D

Speaking of triggers (great idea, Harm) do you consider employing artificial light to greatly enhance your photography? I've shied away from it but sometimes I feel I could do much better with a flash or two. To paraphrase - is it worth the spending?

5Diii allows me to a fair whack of non-flash lighting, even at low light. I could never do 3/4 of the stuff with the old 40D. But for quickie shots of Alexander (16 month old crazy kid all over the place), it is good to have the flash and get that shot speed down, so there is no movement.

After hanging out with the guys on a few of the model shoots at Brendan's old place, I did learn a fair whack about lighting.

Also a few people on flickr, have some fantastic sites where they will show a shot and the setup, so artificial lighting has it's perks too.

Damn. Just picked up some more suits. I'm starting 2013 off with 8 new suits. Sheesh.

Well... I'm donating 5 suits.
