It's all about what you present. Leave your DSLR out in the open with a small lens attached and your 70-200 or whatever in a lens pouch beneath it. 50% of the time, it works all the time.

(This gets me into Fenway, but given the number of concerts I went to last year at the Garden and the way security was then, I can see them being pains in regards to allowing DSLRs in).

Garden is a stickler. Fenway just says no tripods/monopods and as long as it doesn't interfere with someones enjoyment of the game all is good. Brought multiple bodies with big glass and walked around the park several times the last few years and never heard boo.

As someone who has done work for them, this statement makes zero sense.

Boat to Barbour islands? No problem!

Then there is Brendan. Model photoshoot? No problem. Access to any building? No problem :) :)

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

So did you miss the game or what happened?

Hubby had to run back to the car and stash the camera into the trunk. Still talks about it... they were polite though!
Same thing back in August at Lady Gaga's Euro tour concert. This time it was my dad... not that polite

Hook it up, broski! Or just give me your ID. I can pass for a red-headed white guy, right?

I've brought all of my bodies and lenses into Fenway before (inc. 70-200). I never worry about shooting there. It's just TD I worry about.

@Scott -- he's not a write for the paper, he took over the "footie" (as Harm would put it) content on the website. According to his brother (an aspiring photog) he can get creds through it.. that said, I dont' really know about the whole arrangement.

As for getting DSLR gear into a concert, I completely understand that since most shoot HD video fairly easily. It's more the artist/label though than the venue.
