well, my SIL's BIL works for apple corporate...he can get a discount, but he is in Austin, Tx! Other guy we knew left apple to work elsewhere. Although we did get % off when the new ipads came out, and we didn't have to wait in line to buy etc.

Is it tied to the specific model, or the entire family? In other words, if you bought a 15" rMBP, would that preclude you from also buying say a 13" or a different spec 15"?
Funny story from last night. Started a part time job a couple of weeks ago as a photo technician at the CVS in Wakefield. On Easter a customer came in and sat at one of the kiosks. I asked if she needed help but she declined. Five minutes later I asked again since she looked pretty confused. She was trying to figure out how to hook up her disposable film camera to the computer to make prints.
