Love the boats shot, Max!
And the one after the lost game...

Guys, I need your advice. I'll be traveling abroad for 7 weeks in May/June and since I have wised since the last time I won't lug around all my primes (85 +135 or 200 should succeed) but got nothing proper on the wide end. Rented 16-35 but was not happy with the ends. Thinking about Zeiss 18mm, everybody claims 21 mm is much better (but closer to my 35L). Should I opt for the Zeiss 21 or keep it light and convenient with 17-40? After all I'm not by any means a landscape type... any advice would be much appreciated!

I think this is a common mistake that even I make. Whenever I travel, I want to bring camera gear so I can take nice pictures... but I'm not working, I'm probably not selling any images from the trip, etc, so I don't need to bring even three lenses and a bag worth of stuff.

I'm hoping my travel kit will boil down to my 35L, my 24-70 and maybe my 100L macro. I used to bring my 70-200, but all it does is attract (sometimes unwanted) attention.. at least with the 100L if I get into a low light situation I can use the IS, etc... I want to be able to travel and enjoy what I'm there to do, not worry about 'ooh, I wanna take pictures of this, that the other, etc' while lugging stuff around all day.

I'm still considering picking up an X100s as my travel camera for this very reason, but given the home situation currently, I'm done spending money until Harm's son is in high school..

I haven't personally used Midstate but everyone I know of that has used them has nothing but good things to say.

First time I found someone using my images (and text) online without my consent. A pity they're only product shots and not something more artistic. =/

I haven't sold the lens yet, so unless she broke into my room over the weekend, I should still have it!

I ask only cause she copied and pasted your exact wording along with date code.
