Nice hotel to stay at for a business trip.

Key locations would be Piers Park, East Boston. And another is 88 sleeper street, next to the moakley courthouse.

These are assuming you want city as a backdrop with your sunset. Some people like to photograph along Memorial Drive to capture the Prudential and Hancock towers.

Just a couple of ideas.

Cool - thanks for the tips.

I work right around the corner from the Revere. Nice hotel for business, as Brendan said. Very centrally located.

Also you'd be 1 minute walk from the Public Gardens, the Boston Commons etc.

I know this question has been asked over and over but who do you guys use for equipment insurance? Last time I asked my insurance (Liberty) the guy sounded unsure about how I would get rider insurance for camera gear. Now I'm looking for a company who specializes in it.

Im back in this same boat. Again.

I've been to it once before, couldn't make it last year. It's worth the trip if you're into cars. A huge turnout of every car culture out there

 You know the problems I go through. When I went to drivers re-ed I had a few friends to go with so it wasn't too boring. You know you have a good group of friends if you all have to go to driving school again together haha.

I was looking at the Rokinon line of lenses and they are really appealing if you buy them new so you can return it for a better copy but I would much prefer something with autofocus. I don't always need it but when I do, I do.. I guess.

I was there for the dumbest things. Modified exhaust, no front plate, and 85 in a 50. No need for a class :)

I'm trying out CPS equipment evaluation, figured it was a better shot than trying to rent something locally. If I can't get either the 135 or 85 from them I'm gunna rent still.

I have the Rokinon 85mm if you want to borrow it at some point. I've used the Canon 85mm before and wouldn't say that it dramatically outperforms the Rokinon. There's maybe slightly less fringing. When shooting wide open, the AF really didn't help much since the dof is so narrow and in the end I switched to manual focus for the majority of shots.

Were you arrested for the 85 in 50mph or just get a ticket?

I don't think he would have been arrested for 85 in a 50, arrests usually come at double the speed limit (at least from my second-hand experiences)

My boss has the Rokinon 85, it's a fun little lens. I just wanted to play with the Canon 1.2 because it exists lol. I wasn't arrested and luckily didn't lose my license. The cop didn't tag me but another car that was going faster and estimated my speed based on that.

In a lot of states, 30mph over is considered criminal and you can be arrested. I'm actually not sure what it is in MA, but assumed it was 30mph over. Will have to look into that...

I've been arrested for 122 in a 65 before, so doubt there's a double-the-limit rule.

I got caught doing 85 in a 55 - this was in NY too - and this was before I moved here.

Just a ticket, no arrest. I even got to write to the town, to get the offence "reduced". Later they brought it down from an 85 in a 55 down to a 65 in a 55 - still a $150 fine!

As long as we are talking about cars on this dreary Friday.... (and I'm stuck in Warwick)...

I was once driving south on 93 in Quincy. I get to where 93 and route 3 merge like heading towards RandolphRight next to the south shShore plaza. Which was where I was getting off anyway. So as we begin to merge I cut around the right most lane because they were going super slow. While doing so apparently I cut off an unmarked state police vehicle. I say apparently because I never saw him.

So I proceed to get off at south Shore plaza exit. As I start to turn on the exit I notice this car coming around the exit bypassing other cars! In a single lane exit. I realize it's probably an undercover police car, so I slow down a bit. And good thing I did. He pulls 45 degrees in front of me and slams on his brakes. I did the same and barely missed hitting him.

He gets out of the car and points to me tells me to get out of the car. Keep in mind we are blocking the whole exit... So he frisky me and quickly searches the car. I ask what's going on, he says you cut me off back there. Don't act like you didn't see me. He then tells me to pull over to the side of the exit on the grass, and states he's going to give me the biggest ticket of my life.. He takes my license and registration. Uh oh.

So now I'm sitting there waiting. 10 minutes, 15, 25, 30. I'm freaking out..... Wondering if something old has come up. Finally he steps out and says.... Today is your lucky day. I forgot my ticket book at home.

That's the only break I've ever had with tickets. Ever. I called everyone I knew and told them what happened...
