Great shots! Number 6 &7 I would say are yellow finches in their winter plumage, The first one looks to be a male the last one a female.By summer time the male will be very bright yellow.

Cool shots; agree with the calls. Chickadees are ballsy little birds and it's not too hard to get one to visit an open hand, given the sunflower seeds look enticing.

#4 is an American Tree Sparrow and #6 & 7 are American Goldfinches, as stated in winter plumage.

Thanks for the replies and identification....
Bikervon - I used the lens you have - Canon 55-250. Not sure if this is the best but is what I can afford here in Ont.
Yes Kevan & rick, if you are patient and have the right food (sunflower seeds) they will land briefly. I learned you must prefocus and shoot with a fast shutter speed for all of these critters.
Grizz1 & CDMOOSE - thank you so much for the info....I knew we get goldfinches here but didn't know they stayed for winter. Ironic the 2 unknown birds are "american" up here in Canada....in WINTER!! The sparrow should keep its original name - the Winter Sparrow.

Excellent series of "feeder" images Spike.
One bird Al left off, your woodpecker is a male Hairy Woodpecker. And the nuthatch is correctly ID'ed as a White-breasted. You should consider posting in the Bird section so more of us birders will see.

Whoops -- guess I didn't look at the size of it -- I get the little downy woodpecker in my back yard.
