While the iP100 has an optional battery accessory, Canon doesn't seem to state in the printer specs just how long the unit will operate (how many pages) on battery power. One reviewer who bought the unit on Amazon says, "It can't hold a charge, it only last for 20 to 30 pages of printing before it is out!!! "

I just found this on the canon.ca website, "Canon will offer the optional LK-62 Lithium Ion battery with an approximate 290 page life per three-hour charge, along with the battery housing that connects to the printer."

hmmmm yeah im leaning towards that one... my wife wants a printer to print some pics.. so i wouldnt mind buying a new printer.. i dont want to limit myself to the 4x6 prints...

i figure im trying to gear up to start my own thing on the side.. so a printer would be handy to have while at an event... so this thing does look good..

that optional LK-62 battery for an approx 290 pages means bout a full charge to 1 set of inks too...
i just wonder how well it prints.. it is also on sale so can be had for $200.....

im still out there searching on this one.... im leaning towards the canon

in addition i did find this thread..
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=789615

and yes i see what people are saying.. i really dont need to worry about a battery if i can park my truck near by... i have a 1000w power inverter that i can run the printer off of if needbe... but just in case i need to be in an area where no cars are allowed... i would then need the battery....
heck i have 2 apc-1000ups's that need the batteries replaced.. but could even use them!!!
so i know there are many ways to do this..

so guess now i just need to stop in bestbuy and look at their photo print quality on that printer... in a 8x10... maybe bring one of mine in and try it...
