I've never seen one of these for sale as they are hard to come by. B&H has the Mighty One in their used department for a few cents short of $4500.

I'm not sure anyone from here will jump on it, but I thought I'd let people know about it.

I would love to have one but I really haven't a clue what I would do with it other than oogle an f/1.0 lens.

Where did these come from? I was always told that they are somewhat rare. I don't think I would have much use for one either. I sure would love to have one sitting around to sell for more gear though!

Nah they are pretty rare, just not like a 200 f/1.8 rare.

Now THAT'S a lens I would love to have. In my opinion it is the best looking lens Canon ever designed. It just looks fiendish. And the front element is almost too beautiful for words.

I think if it had the box it would almost double the value of the lens :D

Doesn't matter how rare they are. When a less then great lens starts selling for $4,500, you will see a lot of them.

I've shot one a few times. The mystique around these is pretty much due to the fact that they were discontinued some time ago and there isn't many around but they can always be found for sale. Bottom line is they really don't offer any kind of IQ that is better than the 50/1.2 and that small fraction of a stop in that range (f/1) makes it a very tricky lens to shoot.
