Hey guys....anyone have any suggestions to fix my Canon 300D?? I was right in the middle of a photo shoot yesterday....everything going along really nice.....then....for no reason that I can think of.....the mirror seems to be unable to move out of the way...fast enough.
Giving me a partial picture...and the rest fades to black. Almost as if...my sync isn't set correctly with my strobe lights.
Any advice!?!?!? I'm lost with my camera!!!!!!

I think it's a shutter malfunction, not a mirror malfunction. The shutter is what determines when to lift the mirror.

It's happened here before. IIRC, the temporary solution found was to gently push it up. But the usual mirror was the secondary, and you lost AF with that solution. Try a search for "stuck mirror" or "stuck shutter" (which some people have initially suspected) for more details rather than acting on my memory.
