Excellent stuff PJ, really like this one.

What was your inspiration?

I'm just starting to play with PS, so what I have to share isn't anywhere near on par with the images in this thread. You're all such great inspiration.

I didn't like the look of the castle in this fireworks shot, so I replaced it with one from earlier in the evening when the lights were still on.

Thanks mate. :) Inspiration is alluded to in the flickr description, but I did have a "larger than life" sorta image in my mind. The talk about travelling just brought this idea together as a result.

For anyone that's interested, I created a little timelapse video (external link) of how this image came together.

PJ, great job with the lighting and reflections. The background image itself is outstanding. Did you take that or is it a "store bought" background? Regardless, it's stunning.

Here's a composite I did for another website featuring the B17 Flying Fortress. It's "Doc" (my username there), from "Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs" wearing a flight suit. It's hard to tell at this resolution but the flight suit was originally black and white that I colorized. I added the blink too. :D

What did you use to creat the timelapse video PJ?

Captivate?

Well, back in '02 I grabbed this shot of my grandson Israel:

And proceeded to do an early attempt at messing with the pic:

Got the lighting wrong on the guys in the cars, but oh well. Tried a light vignette for a change too:

I might submit that the best composite is one that is difficult to discern...

wow, am totally blown away with some of these images. excellent!

heres my effort, still new at pp, relying on plugins to do most of my work but I am getting there,
I no longer use B&W software but do it manually myself but other effects, not so good at. Still trying to get my head around layer masking
