They are around virtually everywhere in the Eastern US, active, alert, and a frequently a formidable challenge to photograph. I recently refered to them as "the Rodney Dangerfield" of song birds and I think that's a pretty apt title. Here's a few of the ones that hang around with me....

Excellent shots, Steve. It looks like it is a very tiny bird. Is that right? I love the way it looks or seems to look into the camera in quite a number of shots. Very inquisitive like. Lovely!

What a great collection of titmouse poses... he sure gave you some good looks and fine DOF... One and four would be my favorites Steve... excellent shooting.

They can be tough Fee, but again I have them in numbers. Thanks for the generous compliments.

They are slightly larger and taller/longer than a Chickadee/Tit Levina, and they like to keep their eyes on me - :). Thank you for your generous compliments.

I think they're pretty much limited to the Eastern US Terry; and plenty in my yard - :)
I appreciate your compliments very much.

Why thank you Lillian. I liken them to little gray "Blue Jays", but they still "get no respect" :)
