came across this on ebay and wanted to get something that would work w/ my 5D2.

has anyone tried this before? i seen many reviews on wireless one, but i'm looking for a one trick pony... something cheap and functional.

Yeah, it'll work. But if you don't want to wait 3+ weeks these are made in the same place and you could get some faster help if it didn't work.

It's fine. They're available at www.dealextreme.com (external link) and other HK vendors. I have one like it from another maker, same look, different color button. You can't go wrong for $4, but I'd beep a second one in your bag just in case.

Make sure it's made for the 5D2.
