dolica CF tripod @ costco

@EOS - I guess I could - of just the tripod set up that way or with a camera on it?

We might have a slightly different model. I got mine a year ago and they've discontinued that one for another similar one (ain't it always the way THAT works?) :lol:


I like to push buttons on thingies that take pictures. Sometimes I like to push other buttons, too.
I only bite on the second Tuesday of every week, usually only mean people - they kinda taste like chicken...

wuzzi.. yup.. just a tripod setup with camera on it would be good. would like to see a closeup on the ball mount in relations to the camera.

of course if dolica can list all the compatible ball heads that would be even better. (for future upgrade purpose of course) :)

I just looked at the image on Costco (should have done that first) your head is different than mine, so that's a moot point... :-P Sorry about that....

I grabbed this deal-

was going with the Manfrotto 055XPROB + 498RC2 Ball Head but at 99.00 i had to give it a shot-

freddy.. same here it's my first tripod. all the tri in the past i got were hand-me-down that are aluminum plastic with the swirly handle to go up an down from walmart.

so far i love it...

Do you need to use the Dolica release plate or do other brands fit? Also is the ballhead removeable?
