Long time friend came up to visit and we messed around a bit in the studio, here's one of several that I'm rather fond of:

5d2, 100mm f/2, 22" silver beauty dish on camera left with grid, post in LR with Nik Silver EFX, cleaned and sharpened in PS.

What don't you get?

I used LightRoom to clean up the image, adjust levels, from there the Nik plugin Silver EFX for the b&w conversion, then into Photoshop to do the skin smoothing, noise reduction and sharpening.
