black line through pictures help

I have a t1i in my hand that is leaving a blackline through the pictures.Any help as to what could cause this would be Great!!!!

I only have my tablet here to post with so I can't post a pic line is maybe 1/8th inch thick across mid section of the pictures. Thanks again

Are you using a flash above the max sync speed?

No flash.... Update after taking the battery out and putting it back in the line is now 90 percent of the picture.

Line now looks like a black piece of paper extending from top right corner down to center of the picture....

Starting to sound like a bad shutter.


6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!:cool:

Kinda what I thght -nothing visible hanging inside the camera from what I can see but that's what it resembles in the pics

Got an err 20 now. Turned camera off will not power back up...... Off to the grave yard I guess

Alot- this camera has been used heavy for three years. I would estimate 40 to 50k

Show us some pictures Justonce if you want us to make an educated guess what's wrong with you camera!

BTW, 40K-50K is not a lot for any of today's Canon cameras.
