He was President Obaba's Chief of Staff until '10, when he quit and ran for and was elected to be the Mayor of Chicago.

He's a pretty colorful character!

Allen, I know you work with both available light as well as some "studio" lighting and such, but your available light shots put a smile on my face...

It reminds me of my first experiences trying to shoot indoor stuff with little cameras, trying to get shots where flash would do no good except to just shoot "snapshots" -- boy!

Thanks Tony. The billboard and newspaper ads are a mixture of a very large soft box in close to the subject and ambient light. The exposure and the supplemental lighting was set to match the exposure for monitors as not to lose detail in those and the soft box just outta the view of the lens gave me the quality of light I needed for the subject.

I like to work with available light whenever possible.

Yeah, your softbox "touch" was perfect, 'cause you can't even tell it was there:)!
