Good exposure & framing, but you really need to see the "Airshow guys - prop freeze?" & other links in post #2 of: Shooting airshows in Manual

Thanks for the links. I would have liked to shoot at 1/40-1/60th sec and I have a steady hand, but my panning technique leaves alot to be desired. Would a Monopod or Tripod helped out with that?...............

Anything that will remove excess movement will help. Sometimes from my desk, I'll rest my 70-200 on the top of my LCD or my Inbox/Outbox to pan as aircraft go by. lol

The guys with heavy glass use monopods a lot. I tried using a tripod with the head loose when I had a 600 f/5.6 lens & that worked fairly well, but I don't use anything now. Lotsa' links!
First shoot with moving cars need advice.
