Which lens did you get to replace the Sigma 30 after jumping to FF?

..in a pickle now with FF, after being spoiled by Sigma 30/1.4's amazing IQ and value on my previous crop body.

Listing a few lens, from most obvious choices:

Appreciate all feedbacks from those who have gone through this before.

Well.....it wasn't the Sigma 30, but I did eventually replace the Canon 35L which I had used on a 30D with the 24-70L on a 5D.

I haven't replaced it specifically but I'm seriously thinking about the 35L. I have a 24L that gives me a WA field of view if I need one but I don't use it as much as it deserves. When I sold the Sigma 30 I also got rid of the Canon EF-S 60/2.8 Macro. Replaced them both (sort of) with the 100/2.8L Macro IS.

Jeff: I hear you. Not feeling the 24-70 at the moment, still enjoying 24-105 :)
Dave: Missed my Sigma 30. I'm torn between 35L & Zeiss 35

I dodged the Sigma 30 in favor of the Sigma 28mm which supports FF should the need arise. Been a great lens!!

I dont do much MF. So, not need to get MF lens. 35L is my choice. .

I like the normal lens FL but 50/1.4 is a little too soft until 2.0 and up. 50L is a little slow on the focus, and the focus shift issue makes me avoid it. Sigma 50 1.4 is a very affordable good lens but I just dont want to spend endless hours to do lens tests in case the one I get has focus issue.

My 35L on 5DII needs some minor MA and it works like a charm.

I was hesitant with the Sigma downers here on the forum but gave the Sigma 30 a try on my XTi and loved it. When i sold both of those and moved over to a 5D, the first prime I had my eye on was the Sigma 50. I love my Sigma 50 and 5D.

Alas, today is the last day for Canon instant rebate, and I'm still not sure which lens to get :(
The Sigma and Zeiss, rarely go on sale, so I was hoping to try out either the 35L or 50L while the rebate last

I used the 35L on my 50D but when I got the 5D2 I needed something not so wide...so I got the 50 1.4 for a great deal. Haven't tested it yet and I know the IQ won't be as good as the 35L... but I needed something to bridge the gap and I didn't like the 85 1.8 FL

I was in this scenario.

I was very upset because I loved my sigma 30mm.
But I was lucky and I bought the 35L for 800 euro second hand.

Id hold out on that statement until youve tested it. :D

Any suggestions besides the 35L? It's not a price jump that most people can afford.
