Tell me what you think, and be brutal. Even though these are the first I'll probably do them over and refine things here and there...

"Photo Suicide"...I've seen this before, wanted to give it a try...

Thanks. The second one was weird, I had a heck of a time getting the lens into the eye, and when I was done it was too small to really catch the effect. But, I didn't want to crop tighter, I wanted the squint in the shot.

It's not HDR, but it's pretty much the same concept. I use the Clarity adjustment in PSPX2 and just jack it up all the way. Did a little processing here and there to get the effect I wanted.

Creative and I like the second shot. I think you could do better with the photoshop job on the "blood" though.

Good ideas, but just to make all the Mommies happier, I might tone down the blood with a lot of little images flying out? ;)

You know, that was a spectacular idea, but I sure am having a hell of a time making the photos look good over the blood. Trying a "Polaroid" look, so they look like photos, but the blending and shadows are a pain in the neck.

I don't know about it either, I like it but I'd like to get it more refined, so the images look like they really blasted out of my head. I think I'll have to process them a bit to make them match the overall shot...

I think your second shoot is really cool, both visually and conceptually!

However, I think the first one needs a bit of work on the blood (maybe it's just me, but it looks really flat, rather than spraying out). Cool concept as well though!!

I know. I just grabbed a splatter shot on Google, couldn't really figure out a good way to make a "real" splatter effect. I went through some water shots I have, I think I'm gonna do another redo and use some of my own splashes and see how it turns out.

What I really was hoping for was to figure out a way to splash some liquid on something, and then photograph it to put into the shot. So far my creative juices, coupled with the fact that my wife would kick my butt if I made a mess, well, it makes it difficult to get the right effect...
