My current pricing for seniors, children and families is broken down into 4 packages. Package A thru Package D with each one at a set price with pre-selected sized prints.

I am looking to get away from this. I would like to make this truly about the client and what THEY want.

I'm looking to converting my pricing to credits instead of # of photos.

For example, $75.00 gets you 50 print credits. Each print is awarded a number(value) and allows the client to build their package as they desire.

Does anyone have any examples on this??

I am in my slow season and would like to introduce this to mu clients this spring.

Can a mod please move this to the business section? I accidentally posted it here.

Thanks.

To request a mod to move it, click the red triangle "Report" icon at the bottom of your User ID panel, and make the request -- multiple mods will see it!

Why do you want to get away from pre-configured packages? In my experience, people get confused by too many choices, and that drags out the order selection. I find it better to simply make it clear that each package can be customized if desired.

You can make it "about them" by providing amazing service and an unforgettable session. Intelligently as well as logically configured packages make sure they get what they want.

I don't necessarily need to get away from pre-configured packages. I just don't want to come across as the photographer that has 4-5 packages and is either forcing my clients with only my options.

My thought was that if I have packages with print credits, it'll make it that much more custom for the client.

The idea came across to me this morning as I was sorting through the mail. I saw an ad from a national photo studio and noticed their cheesy-ish wording and pricing.

Do all of your marketing materials portray you as an a-hole that won't customize the packages? Are you a hard-ass with respect to customer service?

Not at all. When I client orders a package that might need tweeking, it's never been an issue. I've always catered to their needs with out ticking them off or losing any money.

I don't see a reason to change anything then. I'm speaking from the experience of trying just about everything.

Move two 3 packages. Psychologically it is better when there is a center. Make the small one "too small" and make the big one too expensive. And people will "naturally" fall int the middle one. Then sell add ins ala cart.

I like it.

i have 4 packages for both my children/family pricing as well as my seniors. I planned on doing some re-vamping this evening. I will put this together and see how it looks. I will also go through my 2011 orders and see which package sold the most and price around this.

Thanks.
