I want to see if my 7d can produce images as sharp as my 500d, I'll take a couple of pics using the same settings, lens, and subject and upload them to flickr un-edited. I want to see what adjustments to make preferably using LR3. Cheers

Cheers mcowens, So here are a couple of test pics, Somehow, using the same settings one of the images is a little lighter than the other.... tomorow when the light is a little better I'll try and get some better test pics. tonylong ...winded More info | Feb 04, 2012 01:16 | #4 So, the metering of the one camera, with the top pic, got things a bit of a lower exposure than that of the other camera for the lower pic...up the exposure for the first by two clicks or so, otherwise you really can't compare... Tony

Feb 04, 2012 02:22 | #5 Thanks Tony. I actually used manual mode so the exposures should be the same. There must be fairly loose tollerances in iso or somthing. I'll try to get some better shots in the morning when i can get better light www.actionimages.net.nz

And even if the apertures are identical, the light transmission of the optics might be different between different models of lenses. You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! ISO calibration by the manufacturer can vary from model to model, as well. Yes same lens on both bodies, both manual focused using live view. www.actionimages.net.nz

Yeah I will do, I'm finding it hard to get good light right now so I will hold off untill I can be sure it's going to be consistant. Any Idea where I can upload a 20MB raw file? www.actionimages.net.nz
