I'm probably going to get the 135 in the next 30 days or so, do you feel it works perfectly with the 5D3? I'm at a dilemma as to selling off my 1DsMkII at quite a loss as it's market value has fallen even since I bought it and going for the 5D3. But don't know if I can get the 5 AND the 135. So would I be better off getting the glass first and using the 1Ds2 for a while longer or jumping to the 5 first? Anyone else feel free to jump in on this one, I just thought Cory might have some input as he just made the change to the 5D3 recently and pretty much uses the 135 exclusively.
Cory

The AF on the 5D3 is out of this world (not to mention the many other little things that make this body a true pleasure to use) and combined with a very responsive lens such as the 135 I just don't think you can go wrong. So, I think your goal should be to aquire both. However, your current body in known for a great AF system and IQ as well. Thus, I would say if you can still use the 1Ds II, I would go for the glass first. EDIT: After thinking about it, since you have gone this long without the 135 and you have the 100L which is quite nice and if the 1Ds II (the tank) is begining to be a little tough for you to use with your pintched nerve and all, you may want to grab the 5 first. I think it comes down to what is more important, the glass or you comfort with your camera. IN the end you will have both. I would agree go with the 5D3 first, the 100L is a fantastic lens in itself. However, having owned both I prefer the 135L as its obviously sprinkled with magic dust. The 100L is fantastic also almost 135L but its only real advantage is macro. If you don't need it for macro I say sell the 1Ds II and the 100L and get the 5D3 and 135L. I might add the 35L makes an awesome bedside companion to the 135L down the road. Also, the 1Ds2 will not be going UP in value, as it's already lost some $500 in the last few months. While I can't stand taking such a hit, the 5D3 does indeed look like the best option for me for a while, even if the more expensive one! Dale
