It is a fantastic lens for portrait/any type really. You need lots of room for a full body shot more of an outdoor lens... if room is a bit more limited. Then it might not be the best for indoor...in less you are just shooting head shots then it is fine.

It was one of my favorite on the 5Dc and now 5Dmk3.
