Trust, and your bank details

Exactly! They'll charge if they don't get that 50L back, and this time it'll be at the 50L price.

But didn't the Amazon manager say you could keep it? Or did you tell them you'd return it? Just wondering if they sent the 135L as a mistaken re-ship.

Yes,the guy told me yesterday I could keep it if I wanted and had 30 days to return it or 10 days if I wanted to file it as a replacement order. Anyways...I talked to them today and they will send out a shipping label for me to return it.

Meanwhile....hell to the yeah........I GOT MY NEW 135L BABY!!

I am currently testing a 50L considering to buy it but I am not so convinced, it's nice but I wish it was sharper... I like the 135L a lot more, probably will save some more for the 85L

Daniel, after viewing your work in several threads I think your style would be better served with the 85. Your work with wider lenses is impressive but your style makes the longer lenses have that 3D like depth that really shines.

Never tried the 50 L, but recently sold my 85 L II. I prefer the 135 L which is the best full frame portrait lens (IMO).

I've had all three, separately and together. The only one out of the 50/85/135 that I kept was the 135L. It's sharp wide open, focuses closer than the others (MFD) for details of hands, lips, etc., and is a joy to use with my 35L or 24-70 II.

The 50L never impressed me with image quality, AF consistency, or overall feel to the image. The 85L II was a gem, but too bulky and expensive for what it was worth. I mainly sold that one because it didn't fit my shooting style. I like wide and tight – the other two primes were too "in between."

With that said, the 85mm focal length is the easiest to work with for portraits. 135mm can be a little tight in small spaces, require you to run around more, or be more vocal with your clients.

Took a tour of one of the tower at Ely Cathedral. Couldn't resist taking this picture :). We're a good 150 feet above the ground.

The 50L is not sooo bad.

+1!

There seems to be major variance in different copies - the one I got for me was unpredictably focusing at f2-f5.6. Awful, plain awful! The copy I got for a friend of mine overseas was brilliant!

Joey - did you buy JD new pack :)?!?

Are you helping her to looks for a boy friend?
Very nice pictures.

bw! Do you honestly believe that a girl this lovely (and smart) would need my pictures to get a boyfriend?!? No, it was supposed to be a senior shoot and I did my best to stay within the flirt zone, but nothing too sultry ;)
This is the set, if someone's interested:
