I need a SD card for my 60D (which I am in the process of ordering right now). I know I've read posts about certain cards and how they need to be of a specific class to shoot video. What do you guys use? -Katie

+1 on the sandisk. I use the CF version of the extreme and extreme pro.

also, I used their CF cards in my D60 and according to the cameras previous owner..it's 15 + years old and it just now broke on me. Quality brand right there! :)

I've never used kingston. Cost wise, you're gonna be in the same ballpark. For video, as long as it's a class 10 card, you should be all set. You'll probably want something in the 8 or 16GB range cause the video will eat you capacity up pretty quickly.

Okay. There's a Kingston 32gb for $37 and I believe a Sandisk 16gb for $35. I'll go for the Kingston but I don't want to end up with a crap card. They are both class 10. I probably have a few odd 1 gb laying around for back up as well. (:

I think you'll be okay with the kingston 32.

I know kingston is pretty big in the computer memory market. Unfortunately, I can't speak on their behalf when it comes to SD/CF cards.

Okay. I'm on my way out the door, but I think I can spare 5 minutes to look over reviews. :)

Good choice. You figure that there has to be a reason why the SanDisk costs double per gb over the Kingston. I just bought 2 SanDisk Extreme Pro 16gb class 10 (95mb/s read) cards for about $70 each for my new 60D.

I've got both Lexar and Sandisk, I like them both equally. However, I have had a Sandisk 4GB Extreme with corruption problems (low rate failure though, not unusable). Sandisk was great to deal with. I e-mailed them the issue, sent my card and they promptly got me a new one.
