Anyone ever use these? They look somewhat promising as Quantum replacements. I don't feel like spending another 400-500 for a Quantum.

What is the problem with not using cp-e3 or clones?

The usual - changing out the AA batteries. I don't mind the CP-E3s, but this just piques my interest as a potential quantum replacement, and I also want to be able to use it with just about any flash. (with the proper cord). I have 2 580's, and two vivitars, and one Nikon SB flash, so would like a pack that can do duty for all 3.

Honestly for that price, you can get all 5 of the CP-E4 knock offs and 40 eneloops. That would require seperate batteries as you said.

I personally have not used one but I would assume it would work.

I have used a TD-381 that I purchased from Cheetahstand. I have not had any problems powering the speed lights I have. It might be worth taking a look at.

Regards,
