Just a few from yesterday at brands Hatch, the only previous time I have done motorsport was the drift racing events at Silverstone back in the summer so c&c is much welcomed on these...

I couldnt stay for the night races but I recon there were plenty more of us with cameras about so wont be short for shots with a bit of luck. I thought I saw Glenn on the outside of Druids at one point but I may be mistaken ?

nice pics marc - just a bit of sharpening and they'll be there

Glenn was lurking at the outside of Druids, as were myself and Andy...and probably a few others.

I think I may have seen you but your avatar is a strange angle so can't be sure haha

were you there with your girlfriend/wife wearing a green fleece? (her that is)

kept an eye open for the red SEAT jacket JPE but didn't spot you...

I dodn't think much of it either really, and left about an hour before the end.

Glenn also bailed early.

I can't work out why it's so dull though, there are plenty of quick cars in the series and a couple of different classes to spice it up...strange.

Hi Dave,

I was there alone, wearing a navy blue 'nike' training top and a grey wooley hat. I saw the girl you mentioned, her boyfriend had a 20D with a 100-400 I think. They were next to me on the inside of Druids for a while.
It must have been Glen I saw then, green cap and large sigma lens with one or two other close by. I'll make myself known next season.

Nice one Marc :) get yourself some of the 446mhz radios mentioned at the top of the sports page, £30 for a pair, that way we can all meet up and chimp over a cup of Tetley....lol

Nice shots Marc. Like the 2-wheeled mini :)
Only C&C - try and get the whole of the car in frame i.e #1 & #5 (although there's always an exception to prove the rule).

Point taken Andy :)

One thing that does bug me about these compared to the shots from others is that mine seem dark, anyone else think this. I'd be interested to see some exif to compare to mine ;)

Good stuff Marc... I like the two wheel mini in particular... A couple of them look a tadge dark but nothing that a little levels-tweaking wouldn't correct.

Post processing is your friend :)

Even though the little guage in my viewfinder says that my photos are correctly exposed, mostly they come out darker than I want them. A lot of the time I shoot shutter priority and add a stop of exposure compensation to them, even then they still appear dark. Also don't forget if you track the car as you shoot, the camera will (probably) meter for where you started and half pressed your shutter release to focus - if there is more light when you focused and less light when you actually fire, your image will be darker....that make sense?

Increase the levels a bit in Photoshop and it's a goer.
