A freezing cold day to end the season, thankfully the fog didn't follow me from home and it was a lovely winters day at Brands.

The best racing of the day was the BARC SE saloons

Thankfully the 2005 season has been far better than the last meeting, which was a bit of a snorefest. I did take some shots during the Britcar night race ( I didn't have much of an idea what I was doing:o ) and when the Fotopic site is back online I'm post a few there.

Roll on 2006

Nice shots, particularly like #3 for obvious reasons. Those guys were lapping so much faster, you could see the 'panic' in his eyes  :)

As you know I was also there yesterday braving the chilly conditions. Rather than post another thread hope it's ok to mention - you can view them on my site (http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/ (external link)) here - http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/191105.html (external link)

As you said the 'action' was somewhat muted, the best racing IMO came from the BARC SE Saloons. The Britcars were particularly dull but with that type of race nobody is going to be pushing 100% on the limit. During the night race I completely lost track of who was who and who was where and what etc :p Still, quite cool seeing racing in the dark - the glowing brake discs, flames etc  Towards the end (well 5mins to go) I suddenly realised what was going on when I heard the commentary :)

I'm done now motorsport wise until I guess the F1 Testing @ Silverstone in February. Time to chill out, eat, drink and get fat over Christmas

Cheers

Thanks Ian :D

AzzA....I really like the trail shots of yours, especially the headlight one from Clearways. My night shots proved poor, as I expected, and with the cold and a long trip home I left before the end of the last race.

After such a long season having a couple of months off will recharge the batteries for us all.:)

#1..The MK1 Escort. I love it :)

Although i never realised heated front screens were on the options list 30 odd years ago:lol:

A beautiful set indeed.

Oh wow! These are very nice! Good job, my friend. :D

The first three and then number seven do it for me. I've also had a look through your gallery; lots more excellent stuff in there!

GSH....a heated front windscreen would have been of use that freezing day ;)

Cadwell....Thanks , even I've been impressed  with several of the shots from the new toy. Glad Santa could visit me early:D:p

Great shots Brands, you're obviously getting to grips with the new body.
There's a very evil look in the eye of the driver in #2 and I also like #4.
I think my night shots were as variable as yours.

Azza - there's some great pics in your gallery too.

Thanks Andy :)

I was quite pleased with how most of my 'night' shots came out, especially compared to my LMES ones and the fact I don't have a flashgun. I'm hoping Santa will bring me one of those though :)

At the time I didn't want to create another thread for my own snaps as there was 2 or 3 already posted. Now there is even more, I asume it is ok to post multiple threads from the same event? Seems as though there were quite a few "POTN'ers" at Brands  . It's just on other forums I'm a member, and the one I run I encourage posts on the same topic to be kept into one thread, like a main thread. What's the stance on that?

Cheers
Az

I like the Juno SS3, which won the Britsports race if my info is correct.

What's all this southern jessies closing down circuit racing for the year? Still have one on Dec 4th up here. Maybe we are made of stronger stuff, or we don't know when to call it a day. :)

Kenny... I suspect it might be a tad chilly in Anglesey for this southern softie but I hope you have better "racing" than we endured . I suspected it would be a boring meeting ( BARC SE apart) but needed some good light to test the Xmas pressie

Simon...thanks :D
