Hey

I have a 60D (with Magic Lantern) and i am using a 16Gb SanDisk Ultra SDHC I , class 6, 30mb/s card.

one of the main reasons i updated from from 400d to the 60d was the video, but now i am having some trouble.
When i try to make a video, the camera stops alone, with different lenghts.
i have looked over the internet and i found many people have this problem due to card speed. I saw the advised speed is class 6 or above, so i thought with class 6 i should be fine...

i just made a simple test. I have turned my camera to the wall and hit RECORD (and "auto-restart recording" from ML is ON), and i got 8 clips:
05'07"
09'19"
10'34"
13'27"
01'20"
06'59"
00'05"
00'29"
and then i got a CARD FULL display!! (i had no pictures or videos in the card before starting this)

Why do you think this is happening? Is it the card?
How do you guys format your cards where you have magic lantern? If i format from the camera do i have then to copy again all the files?

Well, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
=)

which one do you use?
i was looking through Amazon and i found soo many that i am now more confused than before... =P
What does the 100x (or 133x, or 200x, or even 600x) mean? is it also some kind of "speed"?

Would THIS (external link) be a good choice?

Yes it is the speed rating 133X equates to 20MB transfer rate Yes that is a fast card but for video you don't really need mega speeds, you are not transferring data at the same rate as a fullsized RAW image at 6fps, so unless you have a need in that department I would save some money and get something cheaper and buy two :)

I have C10 cards from Duracell, Lexar, Transcend and Sandisc.

All work fine. The Duracell's have very thin fragile casings and the Transcend is quite thick (almost too thick) but otherwise no problems.
