I need (no, i don't think i need, but i want), an UWA on my 7D for weddings. So, which one do you recommend, and why?

But both are well liked so you probably can't go wrong. I loved my 10-22 though. I agree, the range is quite a large difference, but I cant imagine shooting f5.6 at 22mm. Its just way too limiting for my style. Bryan

Though tbh I never found Canon zooms that great I found other brands worse. Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.

Being at 4.5 is actually a lot better than 5.6, and Lloyd does great work with it, as I am sure you do. I think as everyone has said, either lens is a great bet. I think the main questions it comes down to is what is more important to you - range or speed. Bryan
