We had yesterday a nice, cold (-25C/-15F) day in southern Finland.

Close to us is a small river and rapids, where I could find a couple of white-throated dippers.

They look like real nice shots though I think color might work well. Nice angles looks like you were down low!

Thanks BG. I first processed them in color, but after playing b/w with <this> (external link) picture, I decided to drop the colors in all shots. After all, dipper is a black and with bird. ;) And yes, I was at times laying flat on the edge of the ice.

Excellent shots Olli! A bird that rarely gets captured and posted here. One of its cousins, which i dream to photograph, is available here at Yellowstone National Park. Their behaviour is VERY fun to watch. :D
