I've been taking pic's of my new workplace including the wildlife around it, and seeing as if my new job is located harborside, I get a chance to take pic's of what's in and around the harbor before clocking in and during lunch. All shots taken with either a G12 or a 1D4/100-400L/EX580II setup.

It's a one hour break, and I usually brown bag it which takes all of five minutes, takes less than a minute to walk out of the shop to my usual feeding spot, another couple of minutes to attract the fish with pieces of bread and then I just sit and wait for good photo op's to occur.

It's good therapy to sit in a quiet spot and interact with the fish, take pics of them and watch nature in action.:D

Here's a couple more I processed recently.

9. The feeding spot

10. trigger fish at depth where he hides when alarmed.

Thanks all! This company I just started working for mainly repairs boats and ships. We're located on the opposite side of the small boat harbor where the Ko Olina Resort and Marriot Timeshare is located. Between them on that same side of the harbor is the Disney Resort that recently opened.

@ rick_reno - That crab is one my favorite characters. He was so shy on first encounter, but he's pretty well used to my presence by now so it just puts up with my flash photography and goes on with his picking at algae and pouncing on whatever drifts by it.

@ jhud81 - I was really lucky to get this job because its a good place to work for. I wish you luck too!

@ squirrelsnest - Thanks! I love the ocean and I'm surrounded by it so life is good....except during hurricane season.;)

I'm quite envious. It's natures aquarium. I'm glad the fish hasn't been scared off being so close to the resort. Thanks for sharing.

I bring my camera to work too but all I see around me is snow :(

oh yeah its -21°C or -4°F with windchill factor.
