Does anyone know a good place to preorder the 1Dx? Thanks!!

Adorama was taking preorders, but I don't know if there is a limit with that type of thing. You can contact them, or go directly to Helen Oster, who "represents" them here on POTN and is great at "customer service"!

Adorama's note -

First let me clarify a few things. The Canon 1DX is not and will not be available for many months! Now that we got that out of the way....Canon did not give us or anyone else a price. We do not have it posted on our web yet. We did start taking pre-orders on the phone as of 10/23, and anyone who ordered will only get charged a deposit fee of no more than $50.00. This charge is only an authorization on the card not an actual charge...as Adorama never charges a credit card until the item actually ships. We have internally put in a price of $9,999.00 which is certainly not even close to what the price will be. My guess is the actual price will be just below $7,000.00..but again...that is just a educated guess. Anyone who has pre-ordered from us or plans to pre-order from us will of course not pay $9,999. We will also send everyone who pre-ordered an email with the actual price of sale as soon as Canon let's the dealers know. You will as always have the opportunity to cancel or keep the order as is our policy.
