Ugh, that is bad news. For those of you who get your hands on it I'd like to see more examples of f/2.8 @ 70mm.
That will only affect the 15% or so that use a 35mm camera.
The rest of us won't see much of it.

I'm a little confused by your statement. I don't think 15% are using film now, I think the percentage is much lower. People using FF digital are much higher and I wouldn't consider this on a crop body, the 17-55 IS or the comparable third party lenses make more sense.

Apr 27, 2012 12:23 | #993 This has to be a joke. I mean this much vignetting. WOW So far, I do not like the lens vignetting "feature". In 70 mm, it goes away @f8.0! 70mm@F2.8: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1108651

I was thinking the same thing, I've never seen vignetting like that out of any modern lens and it does look a lot like the vignetting feature in LR. That's why I'd like to see some confirmation of this.

Apr 27, 2012 12:50 | #999 the vignette issue looks odd, since he has two shots @70mm F2.8, and one has no noticeable vignetting. Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

Since the Tamron lens is so new (and not a Canon lens...) I assume that there is no accurate profile for it yet.
