Sanderlings

Couple of Gull's species that are not so common on West Coast of Florida

Lesser Black Backed Gull

Great Black Backed Gull

This one is Huge. About 30" Long. More typical on Atlantic Coast than Gulf Coast. Easy to pick out at distance because so much larger than typical Laughing Gull common around here.

Oh wow, a Great black-backed Gull! I have never seen one. Are they a lot bigger than the lesser black-backed gulls? Great captures, Pauhana.

Cool. All the sanderlings are facing the same direction. Maybe due to the wind. The black backed gull looks evil.
