I don't know who said this, but I'm starting to agree. Backstory to picture: I've long wanted to photograph this twisted Juniper and spire since I saw another photo of it some time back. I get the coordinates, hike the hill to the tree and there is an Australian couple sitting in lawn chairs drinking beer right between the tree and spire. I ask them nicely if they could move for a minute while I take a picture. After a long hesitation, the man said "I'll move briefly, if you don't take too long." The woman said, "I'm not moving an inch." I got in a position to block out the woman with the tree (if you look at the first picture closely you can see the corner of her chair I forgot to clone out) and took a shot and left, very pissed. If they had not been there I would have shot the place from every conceivable angle and focal length. I determined to come back at first light the following morning, and much to my chagrin, when I showed up at 6:45 am Sunday moring, I'll be damned if there they were again, this time with their morning coffee! I walked out in the desert to kill some time, and they were gone when I returned, but, alas, the light sucked.
