bw!I have a Powershot A1200 (a very easy to use camera) since then the A1300 has come out with a very little zoom difference. Two very cheap cameras.
I would like to see and expect to pay more for a zoom 3 times more powerful, with both models having a good Opitical Viewfinder (which could also be bigger).
When are the more up-market models coming out? I am sure that every one will agree, however good a screen is, it is impossible to see an object in bright sunlight, when taking the picture.
As far as I know Canon is the only one manufacture that has this niche style in a small camera

I was looking for an lightweight, inexpensive point and shoot to carry in my messenger bag. I currently carry a G11. It takes awesome pictures but it's heavy and added to all the other stuff in my poor, long suffering messenger bag, it just got to be too much. Long story short, I bought a PowerShot A3400. Got it on sale for less than $100 bucks and while I know it sure ain't gonna take pictures like my G11 can, it'll compensate in lighter weight. It's charging now, looking forward to trying it out.
