ISO 800 is better than my 7D's ISO 100 Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D

TeamSpeed 01010100 01010011 More info | Feb 07, 2012 05:59 | #6 If this camera can do ISO 6400 better than the 1D4 at a higher resolution (like below), as well as focus in really low light in AI Servo, I will be quite excited to see what can be done with it from some of the folks here on POTN. I am pleased enough with the 1D4 now. I will miss the APS-H sensor format though, so cropping the 1DX down will yield smaller images. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Judging by the file sizes, though, these look like out of camera JPEGs, in which case they aren't that bad, but a few images shot as RAW and processed would be a bit more appealing IMO. Exactly, these shots are unimpressive to me and while I've got alot less experience than most, I've seen far better from the 5DII. Ken

Just like I said in the 1DX thread, Canon might be trying to display a little honesty by putting out unprocessed files but I don't think that's the right thing to do. You want me to drop 8 large on a camera and this is what you show me? You need to put your best work out there and a layperson with disposable income could compare these images with the possibly doctored images from the D800 and come to the conclusion that Nikon's 3K body is better than Canon's 8K body. If I knew nothing about photography but I wanted to spend some chips on a top of the line DSLR, looking at these sample images compared to the D800 images would save me about $4K. Canon needs to step up their game..... Ken, I cancelled my 1D X preorder.
