If the ISO performance of the D800 is as people are saying, then they are behind the 5DII IMO.

No wonder they don't want to push ISO on it... Yup. I can use 6400 in a pinch on the 5DII if I need to. But that's the top range of the D800 w/o expansion. Perhaps if you use the full 36MP and do just a little NR, then by the time you print it will be okay, but we won't really know without sample images. I'm certainly all for more MP for my landscape stuff, as long as the IQ is there, but for weddings I also want good high ISO performance.
