So I'm looking for some advice from you pro's out there. Currently I work as a Graphic Artist/photographer for my company http://www.deserttacticalarms.com/
.We recently moved to a new building and I get to set up a new studio here and I'd like to do it right however my space is a little more limited then before. My old studio consisted of a 10 foot wide white paper backdrop with 2 Elinchrom BX 500's and a 7D' with it's kit lens. I shoot mostly sniper rifles that I hang from the celling about 3 feet from the backdrop, pointing one strobe on the back drop (getting the bounce) and the other strobe infront of the rifle about 10 feet away. It worked well.
My new studio gets to be in a 12'x14' office. I was planning on doing the same thing but ditching the paper backdrop and just using large white foam-core bords to cover the walls and white tape to blend the seems but before I do that I wanted to ask you guys for your advice.
So if you guys had a 12'x14' office with 8' ceilings, a 7D camera, 2 Elinchrom 500's, and most of your shots are of products about 4' long how would you set it up?
Thanks in advance.
Micah
