I attended my first Polar Plunge did not go in the water but got wet up to the knees. It's a very interesting event to help special olympic's.

I did that in Seattle on January 1st, 2012. It WAS COLD, but I'm glad I did.
I don't think I will do it again next year. :o

I often wondered what drove people to jump into icy cold water on purpose....the last shot shows a lot of emotion in the faces of the participants and I like it best for that reason, but they are all top notch!

This was my first time seeing this event it was a lot of fun but I have to admit I did not enjoy getting soaked past my knees....what you wouldn't do to get that shot you want. Many people went back in for a second dip now that is crazy.

I LOLd at the 3rd one. It's all fun and crazy sunglasses until the 35 degree water hits your back. Great expression.
