Nice shots, Stan, that's quite a bird! I had to look it up to learn more about it.

What an extraordinary looking bird. Although I have seen it posted before on the forum. Great find and great shots, Stan.

That sure is a "prehistoric" looking bird Stan, but in an impressive way.
Absolutely love the 1st image, just bird and perch. I'd just enjoy getting close enough to photograph one of these guys sometime.

Beautiful shots Stan. Those alone would have been worth the trip.

beautiful, never seen one these.

Thanks, Rick. They are mostly in S. America and Mexico, only south FL and south Texas in the US.

Thanks, Levina. I only saw three on my recent trip, got shots only of this one. I kept the one flight shot because it was my only chance.

They are unusual looking, almost like one of the Three Stooges. Thanks, Sharon.

Thank you, Cam. They aren't hard to find, if you are in the right area.

Appreciate it, Don. I have to admit, this bird is one of the main objectives I have in going south. And you just drive the back roads to find them.
