after coming from a Nikon D7000, im still not 100% happy with the reds in the canon raw's but i wanted to jump to "Full Frame", and im slowly getting the colors i like.

I think it worked ok, but im always ready to listen other opinions.

I have to agree with the above comment, I like these shots. Moreso the 1st- it has a aura of mystery to it. It makes me wonder where the bridge leads, and what's under it....what would happen if I stepped where there are missing planks...I really like it!

Where were these shot? Was the fog really that thick?

Great shots, and I never write that. (a little too all-center for me all the time, but very nice.) It would be a great series.
Looks like a 50mm. What are you changing to get the colors you want? So a bunch of post? Maybe optics?

Thank you!
I took 3 photos from diferent angles on the first one.
all this photos were taken with the 17-40L.
I mean regarding the red color in general, not on this photos, but i have the impression that the RED channel clips more than the Green and the Blue. Its harder to get an accurate red color in Canon than in Nikon, but im trying to get the best results either in Lighroom, DPP or DXO, still searching for the best settings

Ahhh. Portugal. I had a great time there a few summers ago in Porto, Lisboa, and the Algarve.

Both are great shots. I prefer the first one because it doesn't have the extra artifact on the right side.

I like the symmetry. If someone is working symmetry, then it needs to be perfect enough that differences cannot be detected easily. You've done that perfectly.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Paulo, I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees an issue with RED. I've only been a Canon shooter (30D and 7D), but I've always had problems with reds easily blowing out.

The best way to combat it, I've found, is by using custom camera profiles in Lightroom (created one with the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport).

Well im no expert, far from that, but i not the first to notice that, and im sure i wont be the last.

I will have a look at that "X-Rite ColorChecker Passport" thank you for the tip.

Thank you Cpam, Portugal have a lot to offer, and some unique attractions.

The second one was framed like that, i know it can be a bit distracting, but also adds some extra info. i took both frames with and without the second pier.
