Noob question: Do you take your camera everywhere with you?

Probably a stupid question, but I'm new at having a camera...

I was on my way home from work today and noticed the snow on the trees and thought "Wow, that's awesome, if I had my camera with me, I'd pull over and snap some shots!". Closer to home there was a fire truck and a couple police cars in front of a house and I thought the same thing. It's only 20-some degrees here and I would have to leave my camera in the car while I was inside for 9 hours or so...is that safe? Do you guys haul your camera everywhere in case you see 'that shot'?

Some do, some don't. Some will have a point and shoot that they always carry in lieu of their dslr. Others will make do with a cell phone camera. I'm in the cell phone category, although I have considered just leaving my old G5 in the car.

I always carry s95 with me every day. Only on weekend I carry dslr.

s95 is with me all the time, DSLR comes out for when I expect to take photos.

We usually have our Iphones and a S95 with us when we leave the house.

Not very often. Unfortunately getting paid to take photos has kind of robbed some of the magic. I do still like to carry around the old Fuji GS645s when I'm out on a walk or something... it doesn't get so stale like shooting digital.

Nah it's too much effort for me, I just use my iPhone 4s if I need to take a quick snap.

from my experience when you do carry your camera with you absolutely nothing of interest will happen

No--I have a real life outside of photography.

A camera is too cumbersome for me to have everywhere. Also I don't always like the attention I get while wearing a nice camera.

Just like my credit card, I never leave home without my dslr in my truck.

All ways have mine in my bag, on and ready for action.
